I recently consulted with Darin after my wife filed for divorce. He was referred to me by a friend whom I very much trust. Darin was the antithesis of the first two attorneys I consulted (who were matter-of-fact and had very little empathy about the fact that I was struggling emotionally with what was transpiring). From the first few minutes of speaking with Darin, it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable and skilled with divorce and family matters. While that was most important to me, the thing that made the difference was his calming, logical, and empathetic approach. He took the time to listen and empathize with me. He took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve through this process and laid out my options. After the consultation, I knew he would be my attorney if I had to pull the trigger. I, ultimately, didn’t have to engage Darin’s services due to a reconciliation with my wife. I hope I never have to go through that process again. I was assaulted by two drunk bigots who threw anti semitic slurs at me outside of my favorite restaurant. Im 5’8 158 pounds the main guy “William” who assaulted me is 6’2 205 pounds and tattooed up but falsely claimed I hit him so hard his face was swollen up to the point where he couldn’t work for a month and was seeking $7348 in damages. A false police report was filed against me and William’s best friend Taylor who also assaulted me corroborated the bs story to the best of his ability. For a while I lost my faith in humanity because I was being charged with assault for self defense by the state of Arizona. Rather than pay off William with a misdemeanor compromise I did something he didn’t expect and hired David. In court David proved to the judge that William and Taylor were lying through cross examination he found four cases where they contradicted each other or changed their stories. David also brought up police body camera footage of a civilian explaining what happened which was a completely different story than what William and Taylor had told police, the look on the prosecutors face was priceless. If found guilty I would have a criminal record for the rest of my life and probably lose my real estate license so it meant the world to me that David got all the charges dropped.

I hired David Maletta and it was the best decision of my life. His knowledge, genuine interest, overall attitude, and ability to connect with people is incomparable. I could talk about all of this at length. I COULD do all of that, but that wouldn’t do David justice. He first and foremost demonstrates his interest and genuine care for his client. Being in uncharted territory with a criminal charge and nowhere to turn, David’s presence and personality put all nerves at ease. I went through a jury trial with David beside me. The trial ran for 3 days and I spent a significant amount of time with David one-on-one. During this stressful time, he wanted to hear my input and thoughts on everything. David was incredible from the first day I met him. Not only is he a great attorney, but he is also a great person who cares about people and finding justice for his clients. He connects to the human side of people. I can’t put into words how much David cares about the individual in a case. When it comes to the courtroom, there is NOBODY I would rather have defending me than David.

David was an amazing attorney when I needed someone to defend me with my speeding ticket. He helped me win a case that was not in my favor. He knows what he’s doing and takes his time with each case. He is so experienced and could probably help with just about any issue. 10/10 Recommend

First I have to say there are no words to say thank you to the team at CHM Law Firm and special thanks to Dave H, Kyle C., And Kiara C for working for me on my case. I am an RN and have had my nursing license since 1994 with no blemishes. I was involved with an incident that happened on Oct 23 and I was charged with an assault and domestic violence! I hired Darin after my ex abandoned our marriage. Darin put me in touch with a private investigator to serve papers to my ex that I’d filed seven days after she disappeared. No luck there, the P.I. could not find my ex, so Darin prepared me for a default case. Lo and behold, my ex surfaced and had a process server deliver legal papers to me. I emailed copies of the papers to Darin. We had a meeting where we detailed our response. A dispute resolution conference was set, and Darin gave great advice including a settlement proposal. We met with the opposing parties, my ex had hired a lawyer. The conference was a bust since my ex decided to claim a larger settlement, including personal property?! Darin assured me my ex had no valid claim to my personal property since I had gained them before the marriage. Before the next resolution conference, my ex upped her claim to approximately $1300/month for four years plus money from my personal property. She’d made unfounded allegations against me. I think she thought the allegations would be taken seriously even though there was no evidence to support her allegations. This is why she was asking for so much money and my personal property. She had been here in the U.S.A. for only two years and left two days after the approval of her ten year spousal green card.
An alternate resolution conference was set for April. The opposing council asked for an extension of my settlement proposal for $500 a month for one year and money to pay off the vehicle my ex took when she left. A judge pro tem presided over the alternate resolution conference. He asked questions of Darin, I and the opposing party. The process went well. All the advice given to me by Darin proved invaluable. The judge ended the conference when my ex finally accepted the settlement proposal. At the end I shook Darin’s hand for a job well done.
The process of my divorce took ten months and attorney’s fees but in my opinion was worth it to end a failed marriage.

David Maletta is the absolute best trial attorney in the state of Arizona. He is a kind, emphatic, and extremely patient person. As an attorney, he is prepared, aggressive, and extremely skilled. I was new to AZ, and Scottsdale, when I was driving to the airport to pick up a friend coming to visit for the weekend. I was pulled over for a very minor traffic violation, which turned into a very surprising DUI arrest. I have only had one speeding ticket ever in my life, and I’ve never driven drunk before.
